Standard Driving Lessons
Structured lessons covering lane changes, head checks, parking, roundabouts, and defensive driving.

What's covered: Lane changes, head checks, roundabouts, parallel and reverse parking, give-way rules, and defensive driving.
Typical duration: 1–2 hour lessons, booked as an ongoing series as your skills progress.
Test Day Support
Final preparation and, where available, use of our dual-control vehicle on the day of your driving test.

What's covered: Mock test run-through, common test routes, last-minute tips for nerves, and pick-up near the test centre.
Typical duration: One 1–2 hour lesson directly before your test, plus use of our dual-control vehicle on the day (where available).
Overseas Licence Conversion
Guidance and practice sessions to help you convert your overseas licence to a valid NSW driving licence.

How much do lessons cost?
Lessons start at $60/hr for Beginner Lessons, with Standard, Overseas Licence Conversion, Confidence Building and Refresher lessons all at $65/hr. Test Day Support is $75/hr, or book our $240 Test Day Package for the full test-day experience — see our Pricing section above for the full breakdown.
Do I get extra logbook hours for structured lessons?
Yes — under the NSW logbook program, each 1-hour structured lesson with a qualified instructor counts as 3 hours in your official logbook, helping you reach your required hours faster.
Is the car dual-control, and am I covered by insurance during lessons?
Yes to both. Every lesson uses our dual-control vehicle for a safe learning environment, and you're fully covered by insurance for the duration of your lesson. Please note that this coverage applies to lessons only — insurance does not apply to any damage that occurs during the driving test itself.
Do you offer pickup and drop-off?
Yes — we offer pickup and drop-off around Austral, St Marys and surrounding suburbs. Just provide your address when booking and we'll pick you up and drop you off at the end of the lesson.
What's your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a lesson — just give us a call and we'll find a new time that works.
How many lessons will I need before I'm ready for my test?
It varies by experience level — many students start with a block of 5–10 hours for the basics and build from there, with a final Test Day Support lesson (or our Test Day Package) right before the test itself.
Do you teach automatic only, or manual too?
RV2 Learners currently teaches in an automatic dual-control vehicle.
